You'll spot the antlered moose before you spot the sign. Big Moose Ice Cream Parlour sits along Great Northern Road in a log-cabin storefront — stained cedar, carved wood, red gingham in the windows — the kind of roadside stop the whole family remembers on the drive home.

Inside, knotty pine walls and a full-body taxidermy moose keep watch over the ice cream case while towering multi-scoop waffle cones go out the door. There's a covered wooden deck out front for lingering in the shade once you've picked your flavour.
